Library Profile

FRONT OFFICE

The Library of Anjuman-I-Islam’s IHMCT was established in 1993, the same year when the college came into being. The library is situated on the first floor of the college building and is easily accessible from all corners of the college premises.

It has a carpet area of about 1200 sq. ft. accommodating 55 students and 10 faculty members. Library is partially computerized with the use of E-Granthalaya library software supported by Govt. of India. The college library serves as a portal to information and offers a fundamental basis for lifelong learning, independent judgment, and the cultural development of both students and faculty. Keeping in mind the library’s crucial function, our college library has been expanding significantly over the years.

Faculty/ Student of current academic year can be issued books for home reading.

Reprographic service

Photocopies on demand are available for students, excluding reference books and rare books.

Reading room

Air-conditioned reading room with 85 seating capacity.

Inter -library loan facility

To meet their additional reading demands, the college library offers interlibrary loan services to its readers.

Home lending

Every working day of the week, from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, the home lending counter is open. From this counter, students may borrow books for one week.

Reference Service

library staff and librarian assist students with specific information needs by using various information sources.

Current Reading

Newspapers, Periodicals, and Magazines are only to be referred in the library.

Current awareness service

The library collects important news from various newspapers and uploads them on the library blog

Rules and Regulations

1. Students can be issued one book on library card for a week.

2 Issue of duplicate Library card will be made against due charges.

3. Students can avail the facility of reference books / journals /periodicals within the Library premises only against college identity card.

4. A fine Rs.5/- day will be charged on late return of books issued.

5. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited inside the library.

6 .On loss of library book, user shall replace the same with a brand new copy or compensate with the amount decided by library committee.

7.Students should enter their name in the daily visitor register kept at the entrance of the library.

8.Complete silence should be maintained in the library.

Library works every day from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
except weekends and holidays.
